The Medical Team is comprised of Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors who volunteer their time 365 days a In 1976, two local physicians created the "Medical Advisory Board" in order to provide medical oversight to the Sheriff's Department Air Unit during airborne Search and Rescue operations. Over the years, this small unit has grown into the Search and Rescue (SAR) Medical Team, which provides year round advanced life support (ALS) services for the entire County of Ventura. Read more
